There is nothing more rewarding than giving your house that sparkle cleaning and then being able to enjoy it with your family. This complete guide will ensure that you do not miss any areas in your house and the cleaning is done thoroughly and efficiently. One of the focuses of Galaxy Maid’s professional sparkle clean team is that we clean your home with a set game plan. A strategy that takes on cleaning in a systematic, organized way. So let’s get into it…

Sparkle Cleaning Tunes

THE most important part of your sparkle cleaning project… turn on some lively music!! While cleaning can be tedious it does not have to be boring. Crank up some tunes that will add a pep in your step and let’s get going.

Clear the clutter

As you start picking up items that are out of place ask the question if they are really needed. The fewer things around the less you have to organize and clean. Review books, magazines, toys, and clothes your kids have outgrown, old clothes, and footwear. Pile them up into donation and recycle bags. As you are moving through the house clearing clutter turn off fans and close open windows for dusting.

Dust

Now that you have a clear space to work through you can begin the sparkle cleaning with dusting. Go left to right, top to bottom with a microfiber cloth. Using a microfiber cloth will reduce dust in the air and help maintain your house’s air quality during cleaning. Ensure that you look up and down walls and across your ceilings. Remove cobwebs using a dampened microfiber cloth tied to the end of a mop or broom. Pay attention to these areas when dusting as they are often overlooked, light fixtures, door tops, fans, and picture frames.

Vacuum

So, the dust is off your surfaces, it’s time to get rid of it. Vacuum! Clear out the bag/dust collection unit so that you get the maximum cleaning for your effort. First, hit all fabric-covered furniture using the appropriate attachment. Then take care of all floors across the house.

Polish Furniture

Polish wood furniture using an appropriate wood polisher. Clean any glass surfaces such as tablets and mirrors with your choice of glass cleaner.

Sweep and Mop

The next is to sweep/mop all hard floors. Start from the corner of the room that is furthest away from the room’s entry point and work your way backward to the entry. Ensure to rinse mops after each 10 ft x 10 ft section or as needed.
