Rinse the item and dry it well. To clean up bigger surfaces, apply vinegar on them and rub gently, then rinse and wipe dry. To make a stronger solution, just mix equal parts of vinegar and lemon juice.
Unusual Rust Removers
Did you know that ketchup and tomato juice can fight rust stains easily, too? You can use them on metal objects and they do an awesome job. The cleaning agent is the natural acid of the tomatoes. Just apply some juice or ketchup on the affected area, leave it to work for a couple of minutes, and rinse well.
