The founders of Galaxy Maids all had occurrences where cleaning companies did not provide that sparkle cleaning service, leaving behind stains and unpleasant odors. At Galaxy Maids, we will give your kitchen a top-to-bottom cleaning using all prudent and effective products and tools.
When you are not looking to give your kitchen a top-to-bottom cleaning, but still want to make it look good, here is how to get your kitchen looking clean in about 15 minutes according to cleaning expert Melissa Maker:
1 Air it Out
Let in fresh air by crack opening windows or doors.
2 Attend to the Dishes
Unload and reload the dishwasher, and quickly hand-wash anything that needs it.
3 Clear Counters and Pretreat
Spray down your counters and sink with an all-purpose cleaner that is safe for your countertops. If you are feeling extra cheeky, sprinkle some baking soda into the sink on top of the all-purpose cleaner and let it sit for a few minutes.
4 Spot-Clean
While the baking soda and the all-purpose cleaner is settling in, quickly glance around your kitchen; are there any obvious filthy spots that you can quickly remove? You should be looking for those unpleasant little spills and stains like a dried smear of ketchup on the cupboard door, and fingerprints on your stainless fridge. As you see them, wipe them up with a microfiber cloth dampened with an all-purpose cleaner or a stainless-steel cleaner (test first to make sure it won’t wreck the finish.) Buff each area with a dry corner of the cloth to ensure that you’ve removed all debris and moisture.
5 Clean Counters
Now that the product has had time to soak, you can wipe the counters with ease. Use a microfiber cloth in an S-pattern, tossing crumbs onto the floor. Take your sponge and move the baking soda around the sink a few times; this will help scrub out the dirt and stains. Rinse well with hot water and buff dry with that same microfiber cloth. How awesome does your sink look now in such a short timeframe?
6 Deal with the Garbage
Empty the trash if needed and change the bag. There you go, that was easy.
7 Finish up with floors
Quickly sweep your kitchen floor. Start at one corner and sweep towards you instead of away, to help control the pile of debris and limit the amount of dust that rises up into the air. Dustpan up that dirt and you’re all done.
TIP: SAVE THE SINK FOR LAST! It is important to clean your sink last, you’re going to use it again and again. For this reason, use the sink as your 12 O’clock starting point; you will end here.
